A Kansas City Christmas

For Christmas this year Douglas and I went to his house in Kearney, MO. It is close to Kansas City and the Liberty Jail if that helps you with the geography. We had a lot of fun! His sister Gayla came from California and his other sister Amy came up from Kansas City, Kansas. We missed Erik & Cami (who were busy having a baby...congrats) and Scott and Maria who were visiting Maria's family. It was really fun to see the house where Douglas grew up (well actually he only lived in the house for 3 years of high school). His dad gave me a tour of the house and showed me all of the things that Douglas has made over the years. The picture above is a pot that Douglas had made. There were several other pieces but this is the one I chose to take a picture of because it reminded me of all of the modern art we saw in Washington DC. I think this one is better than some of the stuff we saw in the museum. This takes much more talent then placing rocks on the ground.
