Our first breakfast of 2009- German Pancakes. My mission companion Sister Strickland taught me how to make these in Estonia and they are delicious. German Pancakes, peaches, raspberries, sour creme, and brown sugar- I can't think of a better way to start the New Year.
Douglas wanted to spend his first day of the new year smoking ribs. This is him getting ready.
It was a very cold day so it was an extra challenge to keep the smoker's temperature at 220 degrees. You can see his little thermometer coming out of the holes. We can sit inside and watch the temperature change from a remote control- technology is great!
