Race of the Century
On Saturday we headed at to Stow, Mass and watched the Race of the Century. What they did was race the common mode of transportation against the newest technology of a certain generation. For example the first race was a horse and buggy against a combustible engine car. The horse won! Then we watched a race of a water powered car called the stanley steamer. It actually can go 82 miles an hour but it goes from really fast to really slow until it can get some more steam. It would be funny if we all drove like that. Everyone kept refering to it as the original hybrid. The final race was the best which was a biplane versus an original sprint car! It was the coolest race to watch and the plane just barely won! Dad you would have loved to see the sprint cars. They had to push start it and everything. I guess the originals didn't have the wing on top. I talked to one man and he said the closest dirt track that he knew of was Nashville! Road trip!
