Douglas and I really enjoyed watching the Boston marathon on Saturday. It was very inspiring to watch the thousands of people run by. We cheered on the runners at mile 20, the infamous heartbreak hill. As the name describes it is a very long hill at mile 20, we saw a lot of runners start walking at this point, but I wasn't judging because they just ran 20 miles and that is more than I can say. Above is a picture of the Ethiopian and Russian who battled it out to the end. The Ethiopian won by 2 seconds!!!

I could not imagine running a full marathon. Half was certainly enough for me!!
I just participated in the SLC half marathon. I stood at the finish line for an hour after because it was my first time to see runners finish a marathon. It was so inspiring. I also didn't realize they basically have people standing at the finish line to catch the runners. So manny collapse after they are done. When do you and Doug run your half marathon?
HELLO!!!! Isn't being married wonderful! I miss you and loved looking at your blog. Check mine out. I am glad to hear that things are going so well for you!
Mel and Doug!!! Yeah! Looks like you two are doing great! Isn't it crazy how watching people run is actually captivating? I watched the NY marathon last fall and stayed much longer than I anticipated. I was just looking at pictures from your wedding and you looked absolutely beautiful! Your dress was gorgeous. Anyway, it was so fun to look at your blog! Hope all is well!
